Friday, October 13

I'm not sure why, but it seems that important things seem to happen to me whenever it's Friday, October 13th.

When I was in grade 7, I had my braces put on on Friday, October 13th. That was not so much a fun day. If you've never had braces, it hurts A LOT. Of course, my mother had never had braces, and wasn't aware of the pain that they caused. I had my ortho appointment at 9:00 in the morning, and then went to school for the day. At noon, I opened my lunch bag to find a sandwich that I couldn't chew, and cookies that I couldn't bite into. I had to do some creative trading with my friends and a quick trip through the cafeteria line just to get something down to last me through the rest of the day.

When I was in grade 12, I got my driver's license on Friday, October 13th. Some people probably thought this was a scary thing, especially since it was the third time I'd taken the test, but I choose to view it as a positive moment in my life. We had youth group that night, and I remember driving around Southland Drive for at least 15 minutes before I was able to find Laser Quest. It's not the easiest place in the world to find, if you're not 100% sure where it is.

So what will be the big event this Friday, October 13th? My guess is nothing, seeing as it's already late afternoon, and there's been nothing out of the ordinary so far, but who knows?

So did anything happen yesterday? If so I hope it was something good.

Nothing out of the ordinary happened, but we did play a very fun game of Win, Lose or Draw at Youth Group.

Ahh Win lose or draw. That was quite fun and eventful. "1 man, 2 men, 2...and a half men? thats a show?"

All the crazies show up for their ortho appointments on Friday the 13th. I'm sure they didn't say that about you though!
